Nice Little Airport
I was at KRK just over two weeks ago, flying to London. Excellent as far as getting to/from the airport - missed the bus to the train connection by a few minutes and had to wait a while, but it was also after 7pm. Shuttle is right outside and only takes about 5 minutes to reach the train. Train took about 30 minutes to get into Krakow Glowny. The airport has a few shops and a restaurant/bar, and plenty of places to sit down upstairs. There is a viewing area on the roof, but you do have to pay. I had run out of change so I didn't bother. The bathrooms were very small upstairs - one stall and couldn't fit the luggage trolley in it. There were likely other bathrooms but I didn't see them. There are gates 1-4 downstairs and 5-8 upstairs. I didn't realize this at the time, so I went upstairs and through security. When I couldn't find gate 4 I asked a security guard - he didn't speak English but his colleague did - and she gave him a hard time for letting me through security without properly checking my boarding pass. They got me through the lower security checkpoint quite quickly and I had no issues further to that. The area around gate 4 was VERY crowded, and with the hot weather it was not pleasant waiting while shoulder to shoulder with a plane load of people. Took a fair length of time to board. When I had arrived at KRK, it took over 45 minutes for our luggage to arrive! Not sure why so long, but it wasn't very nice to wait when I just wanted to get to old town Krakow! Overall, I really liked this airport. Very modern but could use some improvements.

Great before going through security. Nice bar serving good food and smoking allowed. BUT once you have gone through security, there is nothing! There is one little duty free shop which carries vodka and a few cigarettes. You can purchase a machine made drink but that is it.

Costs:
Going to the center:
- by taxi 8-12 EUR (depending on time and day)
- by bus 0.50 EUR per person + 0.50 per luggage.

Good place but... to small now after so many low-cost carriers begining to operate here.
(SkyEurope, CentralWings, EasyJet, Ryanair...)
