Location: Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport is situated at the Northeast end of Xiamen Island. It is about 10 kilometers (about 6.2 miles) from the airport to downtown Xiamen.

Brief Intro: Opened to the public in 1983, Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport is one of the ten busiest airports in China. It has a 4E standard flight area, a 3,400-meter (about 3,718 yards) runway, a 3,300-meter (about 3,609 yards) taxiway, a 149 thousand-square-meter (178,208 square yards) terminal building, and a 250-thousand-square-meter (about 299,007 square yards) parking lot. The passenger volume is approximately 10-million people a year. Xiamen airport offers 75 air routes to 58 domestic cities and 17 foreign cities including regions in Japan, the Americas and Southeastern Asian countries.

Facilities:
Luggage Carts: There are about 1,000 luggage carts near the No.4 and No.9 doors of the departure gates and the luggage carrousel at the Arrival Gates. You can make full use of these free carts inside the terminal, and the East and West parking lots.

Baby Room: Set in the limited area, it is an ideal place for passengers with babies to rest

Rest Room for Customers of First-class Stateroom: with comfortable and elegant environment, the domestic and international rest rooms for customers of first-class stateroom are respectively at the No.3 and No.10 boarding gates.

Car Parking: Cost of parking cars in the underground lot is as follows.

Smoking Rooms: There is no smoking allowed in the terminals. Smoking rooms are provided in the Domestic and International lounges.

Entertainment: Some entertainment facilities are offered near the No.1 boarding gate.

Massage Chairs: Passengers can find massage chairs at the Domestic and International arrival gates. You can enjoy a 5 minute automatic massage for CNY5.

There are restaurants, cafes and stores in the terminal building offering related services.

Services:
Information Counter: Located in the central area in the Arrival Terminal where passengers can get information on flight schedules. Tel: 0592 - 6028940

Post Office: Provides express delivery for mail and parcels. It is located at the central area of the Arrival Terminal.

Banks: A branch of the Bank of China is located in the International Departure Terminal for foreign exchange of currency. There are also ATMs for the Bank of China, Industrial & Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank and China Everbright Bank in the Domestic Arrival and Departure Terminals.

Gotone Club of China Mobile: VIP's of Gotone can enjoy the free service for the Internet, recharging for mobile phones, and other services.

Broadcasting Office: Announces information on flight schedules and lost and found in English, Mandarin and Japanese languages. Tel.: 0592 - 5706018

Lost Luggage Counter: Counters are located at the two sides of the Departure terminal and the central area of the Arrival Terminal.

Hotel and Tourism Information: A counter is provided at the west end of the Domestic Arrival Terminal.

Airport Transportation:
Taxis: Taxis are located outside the Arrival Terminal. A flat rate in Xiamen is about CNY8 for the first 3 kilometers (about 1.9 miles), and then a charge of about CNY2 for each additional kilometer.

Airport Bus: Cost is about CNY6 from the airport to downtown. You can find public buses about 100-meter (about 109 yards) west of the Arrival Terminal.

Public Bus: Passengers can take public buses No. 27, 37, 41, 81 and 91. The cost is CNY1, and the last bus departs around 22:30 (10:30 p.m.). The buses are located about 250-meter (about 273 yards) east of the Arrival Terminal.
