City Of Derry Airport Reviews (2)
A small but exceedingly customer friendly airport situated a short distance from the City of Londonderry. A lot more "laid back" attitude than at BFS but still efficient and friendly. When flying to the GB mainland, my choice is now LDY than BFS. Cafes, chidrens’ play area and wheelchair access are good, car parking easy and within short distance of terminal building. Not nearly as many flights operate from LDY to GB mainland, but reasonable service does. It is the friendliness of the staff throughout the airport that makes it my favourite from which to travel.

Eglinton Aerodrome now renamed City of Derry Airport by its owners, City of Derry Council, has come on leaps and bounds over the last few years. The main operator at the airport is Ryanair and have introduced several routes to the UK mainland. They will commence twice weekly flights to Alicante, Spain for the very first time in June 2009. This will be the first scheduled International flights ever from the airport. The atmosphere at the airport is very relaxed and friendly. I would never consider travelling to the two Belfast airports if I could get a flight from Eglinton. Top marks to the airport for an enjoyable trip.
