Quito Vs Guayaquil Airport
Best Southamerican Airport
The structure itself of this airport, welcome everyone into the installations, not only for the wide variety of amenities that this airport has but also for their staff members they were very helpful and willing to answer any question that you might have, they even show you the way. There are many areas where you can sit and have an snack before your flight departs or if you need to go to the Duty free area is quite big and there are many bargains to choose from, the Panama hat for example we found out is Ecuadorean, the jumbo shrimp that Ecuador exports, and the fresh dark chocolates are a plus, restaurants and ATM machines on both floors. All the gates have jet ways that allow you to board straight into the planes from the main international building terminal, we loved this airport, is without a doubt the best in South America, we will give five stars as a rating.
We Loved This Airport
Our travel agent suggested that we use this airport to arrival & departure of Ecuador to our trip there, oh boy he could not been so right, this airport feels like arriving into our home airport, the design is very modern and even feel like we are here in Australia, after so many hours of flying, it feels refresh to arrive at a foreign destination and know where to go. The staff members were very helpful, and the touch screen located on arrival and international departure, connects your call free of charge straight to the hotel, where you can make arrangements to be pick up, depending on the hotel the might even send you a free shuttle at the Gate to take you there. Very good service, reliable, and great customer experienced.
Best Customer Service
On our way to the Galapagos Islands, we found this cozy and modern airport, the customer service was excellent, they went out of their way to please you at the VIP Club, we couldn’t agree more that this Ecuadorean airport located at Guayaquil, had the best customer service we ever experienced in all our trips. Beautiful cafeterias all over the place, and is open 24 hours, plus ATM’s and banks on the building.
Best Airport In Latin America
I was surprise to see many changes through the years and one positive change that our group was shock to see the new improvements is this Guayaquil’s airport and its modern infrastructure all the gateways connecting to the planes and beautiful designs makes this airport simply the best in Latin America, Congratulations Ecuador on this significant improvement.
Great Airport
We were surprised to see touch up screens all over the place providing tourist information to all the travellers on Guayaquil’s airport Good service, beautiful airport, great port city an hour drive from the beach and about an hour flying to the Galapagos Islands no altitude problem!
The Brand New Airport. . . . Just Great
The Ecuadorean airport located at Guayaquil, is excellent, including all the runways, and gateways into the planes, it’s the biggest airport of the whole country, Guayaquil is the business district of Ecuador.
Quito VS Guayaquil – This is a fact, that if you are planning to visit the Galapagos I would strongly recommend you to the things the right way, and save yourself a few extra dollars, let me tell You why right now, Ecuador has two main International airports: Quito and Guayaquil, they are about 200 miles from each other, it doesn’t sound much you might think, but here is the key Quito’s airport is so high on altitude over 9000 feet in the middle of the Andes the whole approach circling on the mountains will give you a headache and Guayaquil is right on the coast in the Pacific ocean which also is the closest point from Ecuador’s mainland into the islands. Also Guayaquil’s Airport is the newest airport of the country and the company that runs it offers the low discount prices of the country. On the other hand, Quito’s old airport is listed as top 3 most expensive airport in Latin America. Compare only the airport tax from Quito is almost 50USD vs only 27 from Guayaquil, they are overcharging tourists for the construction of the new terminal. One thing is for sure, if you end up in Quito, they will make you flight domestic to Guayaquil and then to the Galapagos, of curse you will get charge for the Quito-Guayaquil-Quito route that you don’t need, plus airport tax domestic and International out of Quito so you probably needed to add over 200 to your package unless someone already added to you.
