Traverse City Cherry Capital
My first experience at TVC Cherry Capital Airport was while picking up a sister-in-law back in 2007. While pulling into the beautifully landscaped ‘Fly Don’t Drive’ entrance with a gorgeous fountain, I noticed deer running alongside the route in the woods. After parking in the short term lot, I had to walk around a gang (rafter) of turkeys to get into the terminal. Once inside the terminal, I was amazed at the cleanliness, the accessibility, and friendliness of the people. That was my first experience. Now that I work there, I am constantly reminded of my first experience by the customers that reiterate my initial observations.
Runway 2 is currently being extended to 7300 feet. This should eliminate the need to bump passengers due to hot, humid weather.
