Airport
The runways are unpaved, forming dusts whenever planes take off and land. Rickshaws are available as taxi’s to take you wherever you desire in town, the hire fee is 10 Sudanese pounds about $5 US dollars. The town is lovely with very welcoming residents. The whole city is beautiful with wonderful views and the Nile river passes right in the heart of the city. There’s a 5 star hotel near the airport that you can accommodate in, just ask the taxi driver to take you there.
Wau Airport is located at the Northern Sector of WauTown with paved runway length about 2.5 KM could be used by different categories of Planes of different types. During a take-off and landing you have to cross Jur river, especially if you land RW27 or take off Rw09. The airport was relocated from the riverside to this current spot by the British during the colonial era.
