Dirty Place
Hoskins
I use to live there, it is an awesome experience. Even though it is hot and humid, it is worth it!! I am seventeen, and want to go back!!
Hoskins Airport is a dirty place that should have been bulldozed and rebuilt many years ago. The stench takes your breath away until one walks outside for a breath of fresh air. One would not dare to mention the toilets if one has to go to the toilet; the nearest tree would be a far better option or the walk back to the Hoskins Airport Hotel if time permitted. Flight cancellations and delays are very common. The staff do not advise travellers in the hope the problem goes away. After arising early am to get to Hoskins Airport for an early morning flight to Port Moresby a fellow traveller overheard the staff talking about the next flight (My flight) being 3 1/2 hours late. I was fortunate enough to get a ride in the back of a Ute to the Hoskins Airport Hotel for something to eat for breakfast and a visit to the toilet before making my way back to Hoskins Airport for the flight to Port Moresby. I must mention that the Hotel is privately owned and the toilets are clean.
