In 1935 Charlotte-Douglas International Airport opened under the name Charlotte Municipal Airport. It has since changed its name to Douglas Municipal Airport and finally to Charlotte Douglas International Airport in 1982. And last year, 2012, they handled more than 41 million passengers.

Named after its founder, William R. Hopkins, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is the largest airport in the state of Ohio, having handled almost 8.5M passengers in 2012.
Cleveland Hopkins Airport was opened in 1925, and are considered by some as pioneers of the aviation industry, having claimed some of the ‘frist evers’ in airport history.
