Last month I saw the Neyveli Airport is getting ready for a domestic travel purpose.

The only problem is that when we will be able to fly to Chennai to Neyveli.

There is no information about the operative of this airport.

If it gets ready soon. It will be good for the people traveling from rest of the country.

I hope the airport authority of India looks in to the operation of this airport soon.

Air Strip - Unused

The runway alone still exists, where people come to learn car driving. It is also used by near by village people as short cuts.

This airport used to operate smaller jets, service between Chennai and Neyveli. It operates choppers for V.I.P’s.

Neyveli Airport- No More Being Used By Planes Except By Some Copters

Before this airport used to host airline (smaller ones) service between chennai and neyveli. Off-late it was stopped because this service did not generate enough revenue. So the airport was abandoned, and the runway now being used for various purposes such as learning how to drive, short cut route by cyclist and motorist to nearby villages and to a greater extent by farmers for drying the grains cultivated in the nearby villages.
