Solwezi Airport
I have been to Solwezi Airport recently and the works going on at the Airport by FQML are very encouraging. I was on a plane from Ndola enjoying the aerial view of places in Ndola, Kitwe and Chingola and when we got to Solwezi, I could not recognize the Airport because a lot is going on in terms of development from the time I last saw it from that angle. The work being done is commendable because soon we will have bigger planes landing in Solwezi and we will be able handle international flights.

grass airstrip, road to Solwezi town not dissimilar to WW1 battlefield.

Having said that no customs, passport control.

Nice cheap bar - the Flying Club - right next to arrivals/departures
