Voinjama Airport
Voinjama City Airport is called Tenebu Airfield. It is named after the Village of Tenebu, which is within the city's limits of Voinjama. It has only a single building for communications with pilots and handing other things like baggage. The airport is not mordernized. It has a one mile long dirt landing strip. At present, there are no commercial, regular flights to Voinjama. The only flights landing there are , the UN planes, and NGOS. Prior to the Liberian Civil war, the Airport Received a two days a week, regular flights from the Nations own domestic airline called, Air Liberia. It also received private planes and military suply flights for the Arm forces of Liberia.
There is no transit at Tenebu Airfield. You will have to get some one to pick you up or walk 200 meters, to the Zorzor- Voinjama highway to get a transport vehicle, to the city, just seven miles north of the Airport.
