Beauty Of Himalayas
I had the privilege of working for the Druk Air Corporation as HF Controller. I served the Indian Air Force for 20 Years and had the opportunity to work at PARO on deputation for 2 years during 1987 to 1989. I still cherish the beautiful moments spent there. It's one of the most beautiful and scenic places I have ever seen.

Druk Air For Bhutan Visitors
The Druk Air is our national airline is the only commercial airline using the airport - Paro airport (65km from the capital, Thimphu). With an introduction the network of Drukair increased to link Paro with New-Delhi, Bangkok and Kathmandu. From two destinations in 1983 today Drukair operates from Paro seven times a week to Bangkok where five flights goes via Kolkata and two flights through Gaya (flights via Dhaka and Yangon are currently suspended), thrice to Kathmandu and Delhi. The flight timings and frequency vary according to season. Druk Air’s website includes details of current flight schedules and airfares.

Great!
This place was just wonderful and pleasing. There was relatively no wait to get to my plane, only one family and the yeti were in front of me. The view flying into the country was outstanding, but the view leaving was even better. Just majestic mountains, vibrant valleys, and stunning sky were all I saw.

Paro Airport
Paro , the only airport in Bhutan is a beautiful airport in the Bhutanese Himalayas. Its a very small airport as it operates only Drukair flights to India, Nepal & Thailand. Its around 2 hours drive from the capital city of Thimphu.
