This is not a retail mall masquerading as an airport.
Fly in, get off and start trekking. Variety of guesthouses / shops right by the airport run by charming Sherpas. The nearest town - Taplejung is a trek down the road - about an hour I believe but 4x4 is available or you could employ a sherpa to carry your stuff. There is a medical post in Suketar. Army guys mostly want to practice English and use field for football when there are no flights.

The airport is located on a flattish hill top.
It's a sloping grass-field, with a sharp drop-in at the end.

Located on the top of a flat hill. Plenty of military and police due to maoists.
Airport consists of military barracks, a house with a scale.
