Basically Pathankot Airport is a military airport located in Distt. Gurdaspur of Punjab, India. Recently Some commercial flights have been started for Kullu and Delhi.

Nice Building And Architecture
The new info is that a single flight daily has been started by Air Deccan, a low cost airline of India, connecting Pathankot with Delhi(Capital) with an ATR-72. It's a nice experience altogether because there is no rush and as such there are no hassles at the airport. The people are friendly and helpful. The building is nice and sparkling new. The apron has space for 3 Airbus-320's because the airport has just opened. There are plans for expansion. It has also a special building dedicated for cargo. It is known that the airport was built under the local Member Of Parliament ie:-Mr.Vinod Khanna(Bollywood Superstar). It connects Delhi to many hill stations of Himachal and lower Himalyas.

Appreciated Move
I highly appreciate making airport in Pathankot as in recent years it has become central place for world tourists to go to for tourism in North India. Earlier it was accessible only through train and bus that takes a lot of time. Opening the airport in Pathankot will save time and convenience to tourists who value time and want to see hill beauty of North India.
