Wild Nikolski
The airport is a gravel strip that runs parallel to a grass covered hill. At one end sits the windsock and at the other end the ancient wreckage of a DC-3 that had a rough landing and was scrapped right there. No terminal, runway lights, or asphalt. The runway is a great gravel strip, usually pretty dust free when Okmok isn't sending ash their way. If you are going fishing at the Ugludax Lodge you will probably be landing here at the beginning of your adventure. The fishing is great and the people of Nikolski are wonderful. Every moment you spend there will be a pleasant adventure.
