It's The West
I have lived in the Casper/Mills, Wyoming area all my life and have used the Natrona County International Airport hundreds of time. If I were comparing it to other airports, I would have to say I have seen better, more convenient and more traveler friendly airports and I have seen far worst, rude and "could care less" airports. The NCI airports fallbacks, in my opinion, need to have a full time restaurant, a good snack bar, and airline staff with a more western attitude, (lets say a friendly with a smile and thank-you attitude) and flight prices not so high that driving to Denver is a value. Also, the TSA (as in most places), seem to have a bullish, non-friendly attitude. But on the good side of the NCI Airport, the sitting areas are clean, quiet and have wireless areas, has a reasonable priced bar, well stocked gift shop, shorter and quick airline checkin, and free to reasonable parking prices. I rated Caspers Airport a 4 as I think there is room for lots of improvement but it's not the worst in the lineup.

Natrona County International Airport
First time flying out of Casper will hopefully be my last. Arrived at the airport 29 minutes before my flight was supposed to leave and there was nobody at the ticket counter even though there were still people in the seating area and they hadn't even started to board people for the flight. Security personnel informed me that I could bring my luggage on board and that I would have to check it through baggage once I arrived in Salt Lake City. However, once he found out that I had the dreaded liquids/gels in my luggage ... well, too bad. When someone finally did come to the ticket counter she told me that my ticket had been processed and that they were going to let me board the flight, but that security had informed them that I refused to remove my liquids/gels from my luggage. Sorry, but that option was not made available to me. Seriously, they don't think that if I was given the option of removing my shaving cream and toothpaste from my luggage I wouldn't have taken it? Do they really think I wanted to spend $600 on another ticket rather than take those things out of my luggage? In addition to the additional $500 (on average) extra it costs to fly out of Casper rather than drive to Denver and fly out of a real airport, this is just another reason that I will NEVER fly out of this rag-tag excuse for an airport if I can avoid doing so. Personally, the one-star rating I'm giving the Casper Airport is too high, but there wasn't a 0-star option.
