Transportation And Other Services
1) Small airport easily accessible, both in terms of geography, and for persons with physical limitations; low traffic area for access from Interstate 35 and state/county highways, free parking, short walks between parking and terminal; two customer counters.
2) Flights between MSP and Mason City now more frequent, but one could still drive between the two cities in the amount of time one waits for the connecting flight if arriving in Minneapolis-St. Paul from cities on either coast (my most frequent points of take-offs and destinations).
3) No cover from plane steps to terminal door; nasty weather requires appropriate outdoor clothing.
4) Need more ground transportation options, particularly into Mason City and Clear Lake, and rental car outlets, with staff.
5) Small coffee shop for waiting; uncomfortable chairs in the waiting area. No TV, but Iowans are friendly, chatty people, helpful to visitors, patient in requests. You really ought to give Iowa a try! Enjoy!
