STL Comment, Summer 2011
Changed planes on AA, in STL, in late June. Very smooth operation, yet pretty drab as Mr. Robert S says. I was, more or less, stuck in an area with many gates with a Starbucks as the only food/drink alternative.

St Louis Airport Upcoming Renovations
The airport is looking better already and in two years it will hardly be recognizable as the same airport. New flooring, lighting, ceilings, renovated restrooms, paint, and art projects will transform the concourses. The ticketing level has renovated domes and skylights with color-changing LED lighting. Soon there will be new flooring, ticket counters, a new atrium that opens to the lower level, a relocated security checkpoint, a raised and brightened ceiling in the lower level with color-changing LED lighting on the structural columns, new restrooms, new signage. The new signs and directories on the roadways outside the airport are completed now and are very clear, concise, and uniform in look and color. Everything is coming together and St. Louis will once again have an airport that they can be proud of.

Lambert Airport
This airport is drab and run down looking they need to tear down the empty concourses and spruce up the terminal. The airport would look busier if there wasn't so much wasted and empty concourse space.

Lambert Field Inernational Airport
Back when TWA was around, the airport was at its best but now it's very dull!!! What I mean is American Airlines has its own terminal but through the day you may only see one airplane. It's sad because the new runway is not even in use because there's no traffic! This airport has gone to waste.
