This airport is located 30 miles north of Washington, DC. It is the home of the AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association). Though it is a small, general aviation airport, it has a rich history and is visited daily by business jets and small charter flights. It is one of the few open-access airports left in the U.S., thanks in large part to the AOPA who promote accessibility and freedom of flight to the general aviation community. This rather spooky picture was taken at 1:30am with a long exposure.
