At all costs, avoid going through Cincinnati in the winter. The airport and staff are ill-equipped to handle any disruptions to favorable weather. I was stuck at this airport for three whole days AT CHRISTMAS because the airlines were understaffed and on numerous occasions RAN OUT OF DEICING FLUID. I was told to board aircraft twice, only to get out to the runway to turnaround... once because a flight attendant was OVER ON HER HOURS.
I understand that weather is not the airline's responsibility, but they (DELTA) were completely unsympathetic even after fooling all the passengers into thinking we would depart with an "overworked" flight attendant. I was offered no vouchers and spent Christmas Eve on a bench. Try to connect in Indianapolis or Nashville instead.
