Block Island
This is a great airport to fly into, offering a scenic seaside approach to the airstrip landing either runway 10 or 28. Once on the ground you can either walk or rent a bike into town and enjoy any of several oceanside restaurants. Walking is my favorite mode of transportation around block, from the airport to town will only take about 20 min. In the summer there's lots to do oceanside. I bring the entire family and everyone finishes the day contented. Don't miss the night life on the Island, lots of music and dancing. It's easy to see why Block is a favorite destination for most pilots along the sound.
