Stanstead Customs
5 star airport; very good but when returning the queue for customs took just under 1 hour, very slow and this was at 12.30 am not happy will not use again.

Rif Raf!
I must be one of the "rif raf" as mentioned by another poster, I use STD a couple of times a year, mainly using Ryan-air to fly generally seamlessly to Dublin. I find STD to be a friendly, clean and efficient airport. I do not like flying from Gatwick as it is too far away, and only use LHR for long haul. STD is my nearest international airport and an easy drive of 90 mins. It has a reasonable array of amenities; car parking is reasonably priced on site and I have never been delayed on an outward journey. If you want "snob" factor fly from Heathrow, otherwise Stansted works for me, give it a go for yourself and see!

Good
I used this airport recently and found it to be a pleasant surprise. Its clean, cool, spacious and well laid out. Everything is easy to find and it benefits from being all in one, admittedly large, building. It was a little crowded when I passed through, but that what airport do, get crowded. The only problem I can point out and its not really the Stanstead's fault, is that its a long way out from London. Its at least an hours drive and 90 minutes on Public Transport. As airports go this is a good one giving a good experience. No problems at all here.

Stansted Airport
Many a time have I passed through this airport. The airport is beautiful with an eccentric design designed by Sir Norman Foster. The check-in hall is nice and airy all though sometimes busy as it is one of the busiest airports in England. The security is nice with the staff often opening up more check points if the queues get too long. The departure hall is good with a lot of things to shop for from Hamleys to Nike. The departures is airy and compared to Dublin and other airports nice. The gates are nice and roomy with there being a tram link provided to the European destinations but if you are flying domestically there is a separate bridge although quite long. The gates give you a splendid view of the apron. Staff are friendly and all in all the airport is fast and efficient.

Lost Luggage
My luggage had lost in the airport, I could get my luggage after 3 days (on my departure day). That is a bad memory for me...
