Queues
A couple of years ago I would have given this airport 5 stars - if not more.

Since then, budget airlines and the 'rif-raf' have moved in. Added to this the terrorist threat.

The queues have got ridiculously long. After getting your boarding card, you have to queue an average of 45 minutes to get through security. And, this security is now costing more - with no increased security staff/x-ray machines.

Stansted Airport
Stansted is a low-cost dominated airport. The departure lounges are minimalistic but ideal for the purpose they serve. There is often a long waiting time for baggage reclaim due to the high utilisation of the airport by low-cost airlines. However, this airport is certainly ideal if you wish to have a cheap and quick journey to your destination.
