The worst airport ever! Security? Forget it. My mate sent 6 beer cans through the handbaggage screening. No interest in PCs or other equipment at all. Then there is at least 1 hour check-in time and you walk two kilometers out to the gate. No visible organised transport between terminals. And when you get there and log for a beer and some food: McDonald's is the offering. Tax-free? Just the ordinary airport junk at stiff prices. Immigration control: I waited 42 minutes in the queue. What a nightmare!

Wow! Mesmerising! What an airport! But we need a human transporter to carry us fron one end to another, to experience the Airport in all its fullness. Great place to load your baggage duty-free, unlimited. Look around, and you find the best in the world people, infrastructure, shopping items, ambience... 'Wow' IS the word. Never say bye to Dubai!!! Be there, and you would want to be there again and again.

Place is absolutely HUGE. Put your walking shoes on in the aircraft. It is MILES to baggage caim.
Passport control always has long lines but passes rather quickly.
Good duty free shopping on the way out.
Not a bad place to travel from.

The airport at Dubai happens to be one of the best airports around the world that I've ever seen. It's just magnificient. It's like a city by itself. One of the greatest feats of engineering. And with the 3rd phase coming up, this is gonna be the best place on earth.
