Istanbul Airport is a nice place to spend a few hours while changing planes. The only issue I have is when flying THY from a location that is not online you need to go to the transfer desk, this process is a pain. The regular travellers all make a run for it from getting off the plane. You can queue for some time and the staff can be rude. Even if you are travelling business class its not nice. However when travelling with your second boarding card its a pleasant experience. Well Done IST

Nice And Clean Airport
Excellent airport, one of the best I've experienced. Ground staff is friendly despite bad English. Toilettes are clean and well maintained. Very good duty free shops with very nice cafes. Prices are lower than most European airports. Worth spending a few hours.

Ataturk Internationl Airport
Medium sized airport with good facilities. Nice resting, eating and shopping areas. The place to avoid is a transit desk; crowded with unqualified and rude attending people even if backed up by competent supervisors. This place can become a nightmare. Accommodation is efficient handled by Thy but just in Arrival Hall. One of the worse baggage handling I've experienced in over 50 airports worldwide.

Very Good!
One of only airports left with free wireless. Very good duty free shopps with very nice cafes. Plenty of seats available.
