Kikwetu Airport
Kikwetu airport is situated inside the bodries of Kikwetu sisal plantation a few kilometers north of Lindi town in Southern Tanzania. It is a small rural airport with gravel and grass landing strip, a few simple buildings and no real infrastructure. At times there are scheduled flights; however, these cannot be relied on. Charters from Dar es Salaam can be booked. Lindi is a run-down area with very little for organised travellers but the estate is charming with run-down colonial style houses.
