Very good experience. Good signposting with good facilities for connecting flights. Staff are very efficient and multi-language with the friendly attitude. I love it!

This is a rather small international airport. Icons are well lit, and it is easy to find the right gate, the right exit or the train station. Train departures are shown on screens at the baggage carrousels. Car parking is rather expensive, but that is not a Zurich specialty. Staff was very friendly and was able to help me to find my flight gate.

The observation deck behind the Check-in 2 area overlooks the longest runway, where most heavy aircraft take off and some land. On weekends and Wednesday afternoons there are bus rides around the airport with stops at the runway intersection. A separate bus service on these days takes you to the Midfield terminal, whose observation deck offers even better views.
To the west of the terminal buildings, near the heliport (intersection of runways 16/34 and 10/28), there are parking spaces, and the perimeter fence provides camera openings. When winds are from the northeast, many airplanes taxi right in front of the fence on their way to take off on runway 10. At the northern end of the airport area there is a parking lot with a snack bar and ample opportunity to observe and photograph aircraft on final approach to runways 14 and 16.

Since Zurich is the airport, where all my travels start, I know it a bit. It's a very good airport with all the infrastructure you want. The only negative thing is that some ways are a bit long. Especially to the Terminal Midfield.
