Gran Canaria Airport (commonly wrongly called Las Palmas airport) is a medium sized, airy and well laid out AENA airport in the Canary Islands.

Most traffic is domestic (Spanish): scheduled airlines plus many UK, German and Scandinavian charters.

The airport is open 24 hours a day and benefits from being located directly on the GC-1 motorway halfway between the city of Las Pamas and the tourist resorts in the south of the island.
