Firstly, it was mid NOVEMBER...Not the height of the holiday season. In and outbound, it was quick and efficient. Security was the normal dehumanising humiliation, nothing exceptional here. Lots of room, lots of good seating, that's different. Small duty free shop, it's cheaper in the local shops. Small but good cafe area charging the usual high prices, (I now prepare some food before I go to the airports thus saving lots of money) I like the fact that here the airport lounge gives wide vista over the apron, at least there's something to look at. What I like best about this airport is that it is NOT a shopping mall doubling up as an departure area. Almost none of the usual rubbish shops selling tat at hugely inflated prices. Nice airport, I liked this one, BUT as pointed out above, it was November, I wonder if it will as good in July/Aug.

Waiting For Luggage
Poor service waiting along to recollect luggage. Too slow it should be quick and easier.

Luggage Handling Poor, Poor Coordination
International passengers please be careful that you get your passports stamped before you leave the airports. Unfortunately, too often it is YOUR responsibility to take an exit that has immigration controls there. The flight company/ airport will take no responsibility for this whatsoever. It happened to me and several others I know and have heard about. They even lost my luggage, found it and lost it again!

Inbound: very slow unloading up passenger luggage; outbound: out of my 20 flights out of BCN on 5 occasions my luggage has not been loaded on my flight and arrived a few days later - very bad ratio!
