The People From Henri Coanda Are Very Nice
The check-in agents are very friendly and open. They always ask you about the seat and give you the information you need. The airport is small but very crowded , it should be bigger. From Otopeni you can fly with big airlines like: Delta (USA), Air France (France),KLM (Netherlands), Lufthansa (Germany), Iberia (Spain), Aegean (Greece), Swiss (Switzerland), British Airwaves,etc.....

Small But Clean
Rather small international airport with about 8 jet ways, and 8 more 'bus' gates. The airport is served by the major European airlines, plus the new budget airlines like Blue Air and Sky Europe; and is about 16km out of the city located on the busy main road to the north west (direction Ploitest). All services that you may expect at a small international airport are there. Customs and security employees take there job very serious and have on average long shifts, therefore they might not always be very friendly, but that's not disturbing for these kind of jobs. They speak proper English.

I Loved It. . Small And Cleaner Than Even Charled Des Gaulles
When I was there people at customs were sweet and when I departed the lady saw I was really sick so from Bucharest to Warsaw I flew first class so i woulndn't get worse because it was freezing cold in the airport!!

Small But Comfy
Small But Comfy
The Henri Coanda (formerly Otopeni) airport is quite tiny (just one terminal and about ten gates) but it's clean, has quite a few shows and places to eat, newspapers to buy etc.

As for the cons, avoid exchanging foreign currency there (rates are very bad). The customs officers are also not the friendliest people you'd meet in Romania.. but I guess they're that way pretty much everywhere.

Overall, OTP is a nice place.
