Dirty And Smoky Airport
This was one of the worst airports I have visited-- certainly the worst in Europe. People are allowed to smoke everywhere. They have official "smoking" areas but these are merely situated in open areas, so the whole airport smells like a giant ashtray. The bathroom urinals were dirty. The general design and mood of the airport was dreary. But thankfully once I left the airport building, the warm beautiful Portuguese sun, made up for the miserable welcome of the airport terminal.

Don't Agree. . .
Lisbon airport, after some revamping, now is quite comfortable and modern. One of its major advantages: it's conveniently located inside the city, so in 10-15 minutes you can be anywhere in Lisbon.

Old Airport
This airport really shows its age. The facilities are far from good, but the ground crew sure tries its best.
