Tagbilaran Airport
May 2013 Cebu-Pacific from Manila A-320. Nice flight, good landing. This a relatively short runway for jet aircraft. The pilot can not afford to "float" beyond the runway threshold. Landing may be firmer than the average person has experienced before. I noticed right away that the runway is pretty narrow and there is basically no overrun, and there is a not much area alongside the runway to accommodate an off-runway excursion. As far as I can tell there is no instrument approach available. Gusty winds, substantial crosswind, and/or heavy rain/standing water on the runway would be a real hand-full for any pilot. Running off the North end or the West side could be easily a major accident. I didn't get a good look at the South end. I'm a little bit surprised that they have jet service in there.

Runway
Tagbilaran airport (TAG) is small but clean, neat, good service, runway length is OK.

Small Airport
First time I saw the Tagbilaran city airport, I was shocked when the plane landed and started to run along the runway of the said airport. The runway is narrow and its length I think is not good for Boeing 737 aircraft. I also noticed the both wings of the airplane would touch to the shrubs on either side of the runway.

Tagbilaran Airport
Visited on 12/26/2007. Small airport with basic services. Cannot expect more. PAL service from/to MNL is outstanding.

Tagbilaran Airport
Arrived on a PAL Airbus - the smallest model - and wasn't prepared for the heavy landing and heavy use of the brakes. It seems the strip is pretty short and I got the distinct impression we'd used pretty much all of it when we came to a halt. On disembarking you could see burned rubber all over the tarmac from jets slamming on the brakes.
Airport also features a small baggage carousel which requires the handlers to manually deposit the bags onto. But hey, the island's lovely.
