Rnzaf Base Ohakea
Home base of the Royal New Zealand Airforce since the 1930's, will eventually become one of only two airforce bases in New Zealand when Whenuapai closes in 2015.

Although a dedicated airforce base, it has full accredited civilian airport status and is capable of handling 777 sized aircraft that have been diverted from Auckland due to fog etc...Although it's use is more a park and wait area as passengers cannot alight.
