Flew into AKL from WLG recently. Both domestic and international terminals seem to be undergoing modernization and improvements in passenger handling both before and after check-in can be seen. However, there were no signs I could see to direct me from the terminal to where the shuttles and buses were parked. At the International check-in area I had a problem with inadequate signage - I was looking for the Pacific Blue counter and had to backtrack after I realized I had gone the wrong way. Gate numbering seems strange - in the main wing gates are numbered 1 through 10. My flight flew from the auxiliary wing with only two gate numbers allocated (15 and 16). Then, at gate 16 there were two flights boarding: one to BNE the other to SYD. This led to confusion with some of the passengers. Surely different numbers should be displayed as there are two separate lines leading to two different air bridges.
