Ouvea Airport
I visited Ouvea Airport in 2001. It is small, but seemed to accomodate well the existing traffic. Used mostly by locals. Seems to be a good idea not to arrive without prior accomodations and transportation arrangements. The Fokker airplanes servicing it were fine. On a clear day the short flight from Naumea is spectacular. The personel is friendly. The only english speaking person we could find on the whole island was the english teacher at the local school. I will return in 2006 and will comment on the interval changes.
