Having taught at the medical school on the island for 3 yrs, I have had the "thrill" of coming in to the 400m strip many times. The first one as always is definitely a rush as you head directly for a cliff and then take a sharp left to line up. The flaps go down at a rocky pinnacle sticking out of the water called "flaps rock". In spite of everything there have been no major accidents here and the pilots are superb, often using only half of the runway. The flight sim 2004 is woefully wrong as the island is depicted as quite flat. The FSX version has the topography much improved but the strip is not oriented quite right and there are surely NO trees at either end. The Princess Juliana airport is very realistic and the landing mission is great.
