Kaunas Airport
On 6 February this year I took my wife to Kaunas Airport for her return to Edinburgh, the next day I met journalist/photographer from Lonely Planet magazine, who had flown in from London.
This airport is a dream if you are used to indifferent (or even hostile) huge airports, with distant parking. Here you park in full view of the terminal building, walk 50-60 yards to get there, and you're in the arrivals hall. My wife (a former travel agent) commented what a delight it was to use KUN. If your business in in north-east Poland, as mine has been for the past 25 winters, then the travel time from KUN is half what it is from Frederic Chopin/Okecie/Warsaw, and on better roads.
