To Ms April Seggebruch: Flying To Rix From Chicago
SAS, Lufthansa and BA has good connections but they all are quite pricy at this time of year. You can try flying a comuter flight to JFK and then Uzbekistan airways directly to RIX. They fly twice a week during summer.

The Riga Airport has undergone major changes and upgrades over the last 5 years. The new terminal is beautiful, clean and nice.

Major airlines fly to RIX, but the best connections to Europe and Eastern Europe are provided by airBaltic. It provides good connections between Western Europe and the former Soviet Union.
