Horrific Queues For International Travel
The Chitose Airport in Hokkaido is in dire need of a major upgrade. The present experience is horrific for international flights. You spend up to 40 minutes just to get your luggage scanned before checking in (there is only one machine). Then, you have to spend yet another 60 minutes to go through security check (again, only one machine). It certainly spoils the end of a great vacation.
