Awesomeness
The new terminal is really awesome. It is really clean, big and has all the regular facilities.
There are 30 check-in counters and a business lounge which is a bit small; there are 4 boarding bridges. I would love to fly from here.

Corrupt Customs Officers In Ahmedabad Airport
I'm British, and I'm also of Indian origin. My wife is from Ahmedbad, during my wedding period, I was harassed by customs officers, they asked me more money and asked for me to slide the money into my passport and hand it over ($278.00 - what an odd amount and why in dollars?) I was so angry I shouted "you corrupt f**kers I came here to get married", I threw my money at them and they went RED. Their supervisor came over gave me my money back and said he would sort the men out. On another occasion, I flew to India...my father in law passed away, on my way back one hungry poor pathetic heartless customs man kept saying "pessa pessa" to me. He looked at my gold neckless and he said how is Voorrkk? I said 'Work' is okay. He said "pessa"? I just thought 'Oh, my god'. I told the man my father in law has died and I just want to go back home now. He said 'OK', made a money sign with his fingers (rubbing his fingers together) and said "pessa pessa" yet again! I was so angry I just raised my voice and said "PLEASE LET ME GO HOME" he let me go. I love India, I love Ahmedabad, it's my 2nd home. But this airport hires hungry scrubs who should be in prison for the heartless harassment they put passengers through. In particular NRIs. A fellow passanger told me "India is corrupt and it will never change". How sad, and pathetic. I hope Ahmedabad airport at least does something about this mess.

Ahmedabad Air port is the one of the best air ports all over India. Yes, it's true because I have travelled many times and I've never had any issue. Thank you all very much.

Ahmedabad International Airport
Mr. Vijay is right. But the new airport started on 15th September 2010. Now it is considered to be one of the best 5 international airport of India. Because of political reasons, no new international flights are operating.
