Bhubaneswar Airport- Small But Neat And Tidy
I have availed Bhubaneswar's Domestic Airport quite a few times. The amenities may be simple but fair enough seeing its domestic airport status. Waiting room is well planned and seating arrangement is very scrupulously done. The restaurant by the side of the meeting room is also very good in etiquette and food quality. The air port employees are very well behaved, decent and ready to help in case of a problem. I am shocked to find just an airport in the beautiful state of Orissa. Seeing the propensity of Oriya people, the state must be uplifted in Aviation sector. This airport must be upgraded to international one while few more commercial airports must be constructed in the state.

Information
Bhubaneswar air port is very good and fully secure air port in India, creating no problems. From Bhubaneswar railway station to the airport, the auto-rickshaw fare is 40 rupees (approx 1.0 US Dollar) and the taxi fare is 100 rupees (approx 2.5 US Dollars). Do not get cheated by some unscrupulous drivers who ask exorbitant prices when they see foreign tourists. Though not quite at par with international airports, the ambiance is good with ample and comfortable seating arrangements and a good announcement system. The cafeteria is neat and mostly serves Indian type food but delicious and fresh. If the food feels stale or recycled, just inform the courteous manager and it is replaced in no time. Be prepared for a thorough body and cabin baggage check by a bunch of polite and well mannered security personnel. Since the airport is small, you have to walk from the terminal building to the aircraft or the other way round - which during peak summers may be a little uneasy.

Planned International Airport
Very good and clean Airport, the facility available is more than the standard as domestic Airport. I think due to lack of political will and interest of centre and state governments' it is not yet upgraded in to international airport, although it is having all the criterias to fulfill and can be operated as international Airport as soon as possible. Also as per Airports Authority of India AAI on July 22, 2006 it was announced plans to upgrade the Biju Patnaik airport in Bhubaneswar to international standards by investing Rs 250 crore (Rs 2.5 billion) and the development of the airport would be completed by 2010. Some extend I will hold responsible to the international travelers including me those who are staying abroad and frequently traveling to BBI must take personal interest and initiative towards this and come together and give hands also. It’s really shame for all of us (Odiyas) leaving in abroad because of our negligence it's happening I personally recommend everyone to visit Bhubaneswar at least once.

The Security Officers Of Jet Airways
Once I have traveled to Bhubaneswar and I was astonished to see the behaviour
of the Jet security employees - they're very arrogant towards passengers.
