Great Airport
Good improvement for Athens and Greece for this beautiful and clean airport. Much better than the old and small Hellinikon airport. You can get easily access to any major parts of Athens such as Sytagma, Monastiraki, national railway (Larisis station), Piraeus port and intercity bus stations (Ktel Liossion and Kifissos) by bus, metro or suburban train. You never get bored by visiting the small museum and the chapel both located in the second floor. Friendly check-in staff. On the other hand they should at least announce the boarding or last calls as they used to. I wonder why they stopped. Finally, this airport can be a model for major airports.

Handling And Catering Are The Worst In Europe
I´m Inflight catering director and I order both handling and catering from ATH we couldn't leave until 3 hours after our slot we were given. No catering was delivered at all.
No answer at all regarding why the catering didn't show up.

Excellent public transport links, quick and easy check-in, very clean, lots of open space, polite staff, impressive exhibition of archaeological findings from the airport area. One of the best in Europe.

Great Airport
Using Athens International Airport frequently, I'd say that it is one of the best in Europe if not the best. Clean, efficient with friendly staff and excellent services. Without doubt a 5 star airport.

Great Service
I was on a trip around Europe and so had the ability to compare many diffrent Euro Airports.

Athens came in as my favourite. Nice open spaces in the terminal give it a big feel. Superb Service makes the experience a pleasure and a good variety of food outlets and shops is a pleasent addition.

The Airport also has a Museum which was Great! While waiting for boarding, we were able to look at many ancient discoveries found at the site of this new and modern Airport.

I give it 5 stars because it was easily up with the best airports iv visited along with Changi and HK.
