Good Or Bad? Not Sure. . .
It's principal use is for military flights, with the exception of the airports' whopping single commercial arrival and departure of the day (which of course goes nowhere but Athens).
My opinion? Sure, it's convenient to have an airport less than ten minutes (by foot) from my summer home, BUT word of caution... If you plan to use OA out of Kastoria Airport, plan to mis-connect. You will be forced to stay overnight in Athens in either direction because their schedule does NOT coincide with international flight schedules.
Another thing, over the past few years, they have been making improvements to the airport such as lengthening its runway with the hopes of turning this tiny barn of an airport into an international airport.
Anyhow, I would recommend using this airport if you were planning to visit Athens. Otherwise, take the KTEL (green buses) or car.
