Welcome To Rural Greece!
This is one of those rare airports where you - and hundreds of your co-passengers - are required to walk between the terminal and the aircraft, regardless of whatever else is going on. Keep an eye on the kids! Facilities are limited, especially in the departure lounge. Obviously you cannot take water though the checkpoint, but the kiosk had sold out of their overpriced drinks completely, with very little to eat when we were there. So grab a bite away from the airport if you can, or have a sandwich in the queue for the check-in desk as there are so few of those you can eat at your leisure! There are plenty of luggage trolleys and they are all free to use. There are no facilities or vendors outside the terminal building. There is also NO ATM here - if you intend to drive north through the tunnel to Preveza, Ammoudia, or Parga, then make sure that you already have €3 for the toll. The nearest ATM is in Lefkada.
