Not Too Bad
Having recently flown into Tegel on a trip to Berlin, I can say that it is a pleasant experience.
The airport looks to be a bit old, but it is run with typical German efficiency. Fast check-in, quick security lines, and easy access to baggage claim & ground transport. It's location in town in nice as well.
