Airport At Anaa
We flew in and out of Anaa this past July. there is a single runway (paved), and some electronics. There is a fire truck which is prepared for emergencies at the time of landing. It is a pleasant short flight from Papeete in a 2 engine turbojet. Anaa has good telecommunications thanks to a satellite dish. I spoke to new york via cell phone with remarkable clarity. The island is beautiful, but sadly all but one village was severely damaged in the cyclone during the 1980's.
