Santa's Airport
In December, this airport, far north of the arctic circle, becomes a destination for children to look for Father Christmas. Lots of flights from UK bring the kids to the fells of Lapland for the days of winter when the sun never rises, creating about 5 hours of twilight. A definite blissful experience. The deep arctic location has the planes revving up engines fully before slingshotting out of the arctic tundra.
