Rijeka Airport Up & Running
Flew into Rijeka Airport on 20th May 2010, the first international flight to fly in for 12 months, political issues we were told. Received an "aviators greeting", fire trucks spraying an arch of water over our Croatian Airlines Airbus. Alighted to a welcome from folk dancers, folk music, free drinks and tv and press eager for interviews. Small airport, limited facilities but efficient and friendly customs and immigration and luggage arriving on the small luggage belt promptly. Would use it again.
