Compared to other western and central African airports this is a modern gem with state-of-the-art facilities and a quite big transfer area (for passengers not having entry visas for Ivory Coast). It is a major hub of western Africa. All areas are under air condition. Immigration staff is very friendly and no "motivations" are necessary. Just be friendly, smile and have a little patience. Don't forget to fill out the immigration form (in French and English available at least I've seen these two versions). At the departure hall there is a restaurant full with wooden walls, African culture items and charming staff - very expensive prices, though. Euro is not accepted, only XAF (western African CFA franc).
