Very Convenient And Useful
I traveled through this airport to save on airfares to Guilin and from Chengdu, I found it to be a great airport. I flew into Hong Kong and took a bus across the border. There is a shuttle bus(of some sort) but if you arrive late, it will necessitate traveling to the Shenzen bus station and then getting a taxi or something to SZX- a 20-30 min ride. That was somewhat daunting as it was late and we traveled 20+ hrs and spoke no Chinese....but pulled it off and all ended well --but not for the faint of heart....Taxi or transport to SZX should be around 100RMB- I was quoted 400 and ended up paying 160. They will most likely try to scam you by saying their "quoted" price was 'PER PERSON'. Get that clear right away. The return on the other hand was like clockwork as the shuttle SZX to Hong Kong international was running. It cost labout $30 US if I recall. There is also great ferry service to SZX from all around HK, to FUYONG Ferry Terminal- not 5 min. from the airport.
