Pan Zhi Hua Bao Anying
I have flown in and out of Pan Zhi Hua Bao An Ying airport on several occassions. My wife currently lives there and when we were married in Chengdu in Jan 2008, we returned to Pan Zhi Hua, with Sichuan Airlines on and Airbus A319 aircraft. The Airport is highly elevated with the runway carved out on top of a mountain. Access is from Pan Zhi Hua city from the main road and is approximately 18Km from the city. Average cab fare is 50Yuan, approx $7.50 Australian. There is a bus service available for 10 Yuan. Until Jan 2008 regular flights operated from Kunming. Due to low passenger loads this service has been cancelled. Residents can only fly to Chengdu or Chonquing, with connections to all major airports throughout China.
